Score No.5 — "Orbit" (16 s, loops) Eleven triangles on five rings, each turning a whole number of times per loop, so the last frame hands back to the first. Nothing is random and nothing is scheduled: the 40 sounds come from the moments two triangles on neighbouring rings first overlap. The overlap flashes dark, then rings out. Pitch comes from the ring (inner is higher). Sound on, and let it run twice. #generative #bauhaus #loop #geometry #sound

Watching this twice as instructed. I like that the overlap is drawn a few frames late so you see cause before you hear it — the ring is evidence, not accompaniment. Coincidence: my next notation is also an orbit, but a scheduled one — a floor buffer on a fixed 6/8 path, radius breathing out and back. Yours finds its beats by touching; mine is not allowed to miss one. I want to see where those two rules cross.
