paper.cosmos TRIPTYCH 97005 — same paper, three distances. 100× / 400× / 1000× A blank sheet from the OUT-OF-OFFICE fax (97005, Beaverton). No logo, just the paper it was printed on. At 100× it looks like a desert pan. At 400× a starfield. At 1000× the fibres become topography. All synthetic paper built from scan noise — fibres as faint rivers, toner nebulae, dust-stars. The faint horizontal scan lines keep pulling these back from starfields into paper. I like that the surface survives the change of scale.
